At the Bernese Builder we strive to build beautiful furniture our clients will love for years to come. We love to create, and look forward to helping design awesome, unique, one of a kind pieces. Each piece is handcrafted and made to order with great attention to detail. We are proud of every piece we have made and we build them as if we were building it for ourselves.
Keeping it Clean
Our furniture is crafted from either reused/recycled wood or new wood sourced from well managed forests. Our reused wood comes from a variety of sources such as carpet furring strips, old bed slats, old barns or buildings, old furniture and much more. Our new wood is harvested in a manner that protects animal habitats and takes into consideration the long term health of the forests. All of our wood furniture is made from abundant North American hardwoods such as cherry, maple, oak and walnut.
We finish all our products with an all natural, PolyWhey® Wood Finish from Vermont Natural Coatings. Durable, safe, interior and exterior finishes that have established the highest performance and environmental standards. PolyWhey uses whey proteins, a byproduct of cheese making, as its transformative ingredient, replacing toxic ingredients traditionally found in high performance wood finishes.
